Executive Summary:
On April 20, 2023, the Sonoma County City Selection Committee met in person hosted by the City of Healdsburg and put forward the name of City of Rohnert Park Councilmember Gerard Giudice to be appointed to the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District. This appointment needs to be confirmed by the Board of Supervisors.
Discussion:
On April 20, 2023, the Sonoma County City Selection Committee met in person hosted by the City of Healdsburg and put forward the name of City of Rohnert Park Councilmember Gerard Giudice to be appointed to the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District. The cities of Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sonoma, and Town of Windsor were represented at the meeting. The meeting was noticed met all Brown Act requirements and open public comment.
At 6:10 P.M., the City Selection Committee attended regular business, which Item I.V. -B on the agenda was an appointment to the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District.
B. Selection of a member for the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District - (2-year term) One seat to fill. City Selection Committee nominates a name, and the appointment is made by the Board of Supervisors. Letter of Interest received from Gerard Giudice.
Upon a motion by City of Petaluma, seconded by City of Cloverdale, Gerard Giudice was selected for the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District. Approved by an 8-0-1 votes with City of Rohnert Park absent.
