This item seeks Board approval of vote for Solano County Supervisor Erin Hannigan for County Medical Services Program (CMSP) Governing Board, Supervisor Representative for Group 3 Counties for a new term beginning 1/1/2023.
Discussion:
The County Medical Services Program (CMSP) Governing Board is composed of County Supervisors, County Administrative Officers, and County Health and Welfare Officials from the 35 member counties. The Governing Board administers the County Medical Services Program, which provides health care services to indigent adults in the 35 counties.
In fulfillment of its statutory responsibility, the Governing Board has regularized the terms of its Board. Group 3 Counties include Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano counties. The current term for the Group 3 Supervisor seat ends December 31, 2022. This seat is currently held by Napa County Supervisor Brad Wagenknecht who is retiring. The new term will begin January 1, 2023, and end December 31, 2025.
Solano County Supervisor Erin Hannigan is the sole candidate for the position. This item recommends Supervisor Hannigan for this position. Ballots are due by Friday, November 4, 2022.
