Executive Summary:
The Sonoma County City Selection Committee nominated Dominic Foppoli, to be appointed to the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District (GGBHTD). This appointment needs to be confirmed by the Board of Supervisors.
Discussion:
Pursuant to Streets and Highways Code section 25510(c), the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors appoints three directors to the GGBHTD. Two of those directors have already been appointed by your Board: (1) Public representative Chris Snyder was appointed by your Board to the GGBHTD in December 2020; and (2) Supervisor Rabbitt was appointed by your Board on January 5, 2021 to continue to serve on the GGBHTD.
This board item involves the appointment of the third director to the GGBHTD. Pursuant to state law, the third director must be an elected member of a city council of a city within Sonoma County. On February 11, 2021, the Sonoma County City Selection Committee met via Zoom hosted by the City of Cloverdale put forward the name Dominic Foppoli to be appointed to the GGBHTD. The Cities of Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sonoma and the Town of Windsor were represented at the meeting. The meeting was noticed, and met all Brown Act requirements.
At 6:09 P.M., the City Selection Committee attended regular business, which Item “C” on the agenda was an appointment to the GGBHTD.

At 6:09 PM Upon a motion by the City of Sonoma, seconded by the City of Healdsburg, Dominic Foppoli of Windsor was nominated to the GGBHTD, approved on a 6 - 3 Vote with Cotati, Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa Voting no.
