Executive Summary:
Every year millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, do not update their registration, or are not sure how to register. On September 22, 2020, volunteers, celebrities, and organizations from all over the country will “hit the streets” for National Voter Registration Day to create broad awareness of voter registration opportunities.
Discussion:
We have become an Official Partner with National Voter Registration Day in supporting this single day of coordinated field, technology, and media efforts that will create pervasive awareness of voter registration opportunities - allowing us to reach tens of thousands of voters who we could not reach otherwise.
Prior Board Actions:
On September 24, 2019, the Board adopted a Gold Resolution recognizing September 24, 2019, as National Voter Registration Day (Resolution 19-0403).
