This item requests that the Board adopt a resolution proclaiming the week of August 4 to August 10, 2019 as National Health Center Week in Sonoma County.
Discussion:
Sonoma County health centers include Alexander Valley Healthcare, Alliance Medical Center, Jewish Community Free Clinic, Petaluma Health Center, Sonoma County Indian Health Project, Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, Santa Rosa Community Health, St. Joseph Health, and West County Health Centers.
Acknowledging the work of the local health centers supports the County's strategic plan goal of providing a safe, healthy, and caring community by supporting overall health, and supports the Department's goal of ensuring that individuals, families, and communities have access to high-quality and coordinated services for health, recovery, well-being, and self-sufficiency.
Prior Board Actions:
The Board recognized National Health Center Week in 2015, 2016, and, most recently, on August 15, 2017 the Board adopted a resolution proclaiming the week of August 13 to August 19, 2017 as National Health Center Week in Sonoma County.
