Executive Summary:
The Human Services Department and the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority request approval to reappoint Carol Taylor to the Public Authority Advisory Committee.
Discussion:
On June 9, 2020, the Board reappointed Carol Taylor to the Public Authority (PA) Advisory Committee for a four-year term, under the category of current or former In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Care Provider.
The purpose of the PA Advisory Committee is to provide ongoing advice and recommendations regarding IHSS to the Board, the PA, and the IHSS Program. There are 10 positions on the PA Advisory Committee representing IHSS clients, providers, and members at large. Of the 10, there are two additional vacancies remaining for current or previous user representatives on the Committee. Recruitment for these vacancies is ongoing and when applicants have been selected, appointment recommendations will be brought to the Board for approval. Members of the PA Advisory Committee are appointed by the Board as a whole and not by supervisory district.
