The Board of Supervisors are responsible for appointments to over 75 Boards, Commissions, Committees, and Task Forces. Rule 50 of the Board Rules of Procedures states that the Clerk of the Board shall convene staff to review prospective countywide appointments and make appointment recommendations to the Board. The current item recommends the reappointment of Emily Albert to the countywide Real Estate representative seat of the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District Advisory Committee.
Discussion:
Staff seek Board approval of the appointment of Emily Albert to the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District (Ag + Open Space) Advisory Committee as the Real Estate representative. Emily Albert was born and raised in Sonoma County and has over 27 years of experience in real estate and lending. She has been a realtor for the last 15 years.
The Ag + Open Space Advisory Committee is comprised of 19 members representing specific designations: two appointed by each County Supervisor, three representing the Mayors’ and Councilmembers’ Association, two youth members, and one each representing agriculture, the environment, real estate or property appraisal, and business. While solely advisory, the Committee offers opinions and makes recommendations at the request of the Ag + Open Space Board of Directors or its General Manager. The Committee provides broad-based citizen input on Ag + Open Space activities and acts as ambassadors for Ag + Open Space.
