Approve update to the North Valley Municipal Advisory Council Bylaws. (First District)
end
Executive Summary:
The Board of Supervisors (Board) approved the North Valley Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) on September 17, 2019. This item will update the bylaws.
Discussion:
The proposed changes to the Bylaws will make changes to the name, geographical representation requirements, and term limits. Specifically:
1) Name change from North Valley MAC to North Sonoma Valley MAC
2) Allow alternates to fulfill the geographical representation requirements outlined in the bylaws
3) Allow the Supervisor to reappoint for terms beyond the initial term limits at their discretion
These changes will allow for more specificity regarding the MAC’s geographical jurisdiction, and flexibility for membership of the MAC.
This update also makes a few non-substantive adjustments to wording and grammar.
