Executive Summary:
The Board of Supervisors has requested that staff provide quarterly updates on the Ad Hoc activities to keep the Board and the public informed about the progress being made by these committees. Each committee is unique in its mission, outcomes, and process, therefore individual committee reports are being included.
Discussion:
On January 26, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved the Ad Hoc assignments for 2021 calendar. The Ad Hoc committee assignments are as follows:

Summary of Key Highlights
The Ad Hoc updates covering information through from April through June, 2021 are included as Attachments A-E. Key highlights of the updates for this period include:
The Climate Action Ad Hoc hosted a two-hour Zoom Climate Town Hall meeting on April 6, 2021 and the Ad Hoc proposed increasing staffing and the creation of a separate section in the County Administrator’s Office to implement the County’s climate policies. The Climate Analyst started on June 15, 2021.
The County Center Ad Hoc reviewed staff analyses regarding cost estimates for each of the potential sites, assess the qualitative benefits and challenges of each potential site, survey County departments to better understand client parking needs, and analyze the revenue and expenditure implications of each of the site options.
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Ad Hoc made recommendations regarding the EMS Request for Proposal going before the Board and received updates on the Mobile Support Team and efforts to expand programming into a CAHOOTS type model.
The Fire Services Ad Hoc approved draft CSA 40 consolidation distribution plans and fire sales tax expenditure plans for discussion with the Fire Services Working Group. The Fire Ad Hoc met with stakeholders from Bodega Bay.
The Measure O Ad Hoc reviewed expenditure plans an staffing structures to implement and received an update from staff on various programming, including pilot programs within cities.
