Adopt the resolution authorizing consolidation of all local jurisdictions that have submitted requests for consolidation with the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election, per California Elections Code (EC) §§ 10400, 10401, 10402.5, and 10403.

Executive Summary:
The 2024 Presidential Primary Election in California is set to be held on March 5, 2024. Multiple jurisdictions have called elections for approval of measures and requested consolidation with other elections occurring on March 5, 2024. EC § 10403 provides that elections called on the same day as a statewide election shall be consolidated so that matters being voted on in the same territory will appear on the same ballot. The primary purpose of consolidating elections is to maximize utilization of resources needed (i.e., avoid duplication), which can result in overall cost savings.
